Stellan Skarsgård Takes Role in Thor
Stellan Skarsgård tells TT Spektra that he will have a role in Marvel Studios' THOR movie, ComingSoon.net reports.
A rough translation from Swedish quotes Skarsgård as saying: "They wanted me to sign without reading the script. That I refused to do. Then they sent one to me that was so coded that I could only print one copy."
It's still unknown which role he might play in the film, although Skarsgård's son, Alexander Skarsgård, was a front-runner for the title role, but it eventually went to Chris Hemsworth, who starred in STAR TREK.
Paramount is hoping to release THOR on May 20, 2011. The comic book adaptation, which also stars Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander, Colm Feore and Samuel L. Jackson, will be directed by Kenneth Branagh.
