John Cho (STAR TREK) has boarded Sony's TOTAL RECALL remake, reports EW. Cho takes the role of McClane, the salesman at the fake memory creation company. He would join Colin Farrell, Bryan Cranston, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel and Ethan Hawke. Bill Nighy is also in talks.

In the new version, Quaid (Farrell) is a factory worker who begins to believe he might be a spy for either Euromerica or New Shanghai after he visits a company that implants false memories in a person's mind. Bryan Cranston will play Euromerica leader Vilos Cohaagen who is planning a secret invasion of New Shanghai. The story is based on Philip K. Dick's WE CAN REMEMBER IT FOR YOU WHOLESALE.

Len Wiseman is the director. Mark Bomback and James Vanderbilt penned the script. Original Film's Neal Moritz and Toby Jaffe are producing.
