T.V. Carpio has been hired to take over the role of Arachne in SPIDERMAN: TURN OFF THE DARK, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She replaces Natalie Mendoza, who had to drop out of the musical after suffering a concussion on set. Carpio worked with the epic Broadway production's director Julie Taymor on the feature film, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE. She has played the part during previews when Mendoza could not perform. She was originally set to play Miss Arrow in the chorus, which will now be played by Alice Lee.
