Joel McHale (THE SOUP) is in talks to join Seth McFarlane’s TED, reports Deadline.com. He would join Mark Walhberg, Mila Kunis and Giovanni Ribisi.

The story follows a grown man whose fowl-mouthed teddy bear has never left him since a childhood wish brought it to life. The FAMILY GUY creator will direct from his own script, as well as voice Ted.

MacFarlane will also produce with Scott Stuber and John Jacobs. Alec Sulkin & Wellesley Wild co-wrote the script. Universal's SEVP of Production, Peter Cramer, and Sara Scott are shepherding.
