Charlie Hunnam (TV's SON OF ANARCHY) is in talks to take the lead in Guillermo del Toro's PACIFIC RIM, reports Deadline.com. Written by Travis Beacham, the story follow humanity's resistance against giant beasts set to destroy Earth one city at a time.

Legendary Pictures is the studio behind the project. Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni, and del Toro are producing alongside exec producer Callum Greene. Warner Bros. will distribute.
