Freida Pinto (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE) has landed a role in WAR OF GODS at Relativity Media, according to VARIETY.

The Tarsem Singh-directed project follows a young warrior who leads his men into battle to save mankind, VARIETY adds. Pinto is set to play the character Phaedra.

Gianni Nunnari (300) and Mark Canton are attached to produce with Ryan Kavanaugh. Tucker Tooley and Craig Flores of Hollywood Gang are executive producing.

Production on the Universal Pictures release is slated to start in April.
