TRAFFIC writer Stephen Gaghan has finished rewrites on M. Night Shyamalan's ONE THOUSAND A.E., reports Variety. Gary Whitta (THE BOOK OF ELI) penned the original draft with Shyamalan rewriting when he boarded as director. Will and Jaden Smith will play a father and son who crash onto Earth a thousand years after humans have abandoned it.

Shyamalan and Will Smith, James Lassiter, Ken Stovitz and Jada Pinkett Smith are producing the Sony Pictures and Overbrook Ent. production.
