Amanda Seyfried is set to star in New Regency's sci-fi actioner I'M.MORTAL, reports VARIETY. Andrew Niccol (GATTACA) will write and direct and 20th Century Fox will release.

The story takes place in a world where aging ceases at 25. Once they reach that age, people must buy time, virtually making rich people immortal. In the film, a poor man, wrongly accused of killing a rich man for his time, kidnaps a rich woman (Seyfried).

Strike Ent.'s Eric Newman and Marc Abraham are the producers alongside exec producer Kristel Laiblin.

New Regency hopes to start production this year.
