Andy Serkis has inked a seven-figure deal to star as Caesar in sequels to RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, reports Deadline.com. Director Rupert Wyatt already has an option for one sequel, as do writer/producers Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. Chernin Ent.’s Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark will also be back to produce. Whether James Franco or Freida Pinto will return is subject to the development of the script. Fox has decided to make a big push for Serkis to receive the first Oscar nomination for a performance capture role.
