RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE has been delayed until Jan. 14, 2011, SHOCKTILLYOUDROP.COM reports. Originally scheduled to hit theaters on Aug. 27, 2010, the first film in the series to use 3D technology is taking longer to put together than Screen Gems anticipated.

The team realized that the post-product 3D processing is going to take a lot longer to complete so Paul W.S. Anderson has been given a few more months to finish the movie.
