Dakota Goyo (RESURRECTING THE CHAMP) has been cast as Hugh Jackman's son in DreamWorks' REAL STEAL, reports VARIETY. Shawn Levy is the director. John Gatins penned the script.

The story follows a former boxer who tries to reconnect with his son through participating in robot boxing.

Production will start in June. It's the first DreamWorks film to be distributed by Disney, which plans to release it on Nov. 18, 2011.

Levy, Don Murphy and Susan Montford will produce. Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Steve Starkey, Mary McLaglen and Josh McLaglen are the exec producers.
