Professional Star Joins I, Alex Cross
Jean Reno (THE PROFESSIONAL) has boarded the cast of I, ALEX CROSS, reports Variety. He joins Tyler Perry, Ed Burns and Matthew Fox.
The reboot of James Patterson's detective franchise finds Perry playing the title character who is hunting the serial killer (Fox), who murdered his family. Reno's role is yet unknown.
Kerry Williamson and Marc Moss penned the script. QED's Bill Block and Paul Hanson, and Steve Bowen and of James Patterson Ent.'s Leopoldo Gout are the producers.
Filming will begin in August. Summit hopes to release the film in late 2012 or early 2013.
