Pirates 4 Actor in Talks for Snow White and the Huntsman
Sam Claflin (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES) is in talks to board SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN at Universal, reports ComingSoon.net. He would join Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart.
Who he would play was not announced, but if he's up for the huntsman role it would seem earlier talks with THOR star Chris Hemsworth have fallen through. Previously Viggo Mortensen was in negotiations to take the part but a deal couldn't be struck.
The revamp of the fairy tale has the huntsman taking Snow White (Stewart) into the woods, but instead of simply leaving her there, he trains her to defend herself against the evil queen (Theron).
Rupert Sanders is directing from script by Evan Daugherty. Joe Roth is the producer. Jeff Kirschenbaum and Maradith Frenkel are overseeing for the studio.
