Michael Pena (CRASH) has boarded Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow's GANGSTER SQUAD, writes The Hollywood Reporter. He will play a Mexican cop on the squad, which is tasked with bringing down gangster Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn). Josh Brolin is playing the incorruptible leader of the squad, John O'Mara, while Ryan Gosling plays devoted bachelor cop, Jerry Wooters.

Former cop turned screenwriter Will Beall is adapting a script from Paul Lieberman's L.A. Times series. Dan Lin and Kevin McCormick are the producers alongside co-producer Jon Silk.
