Julia Ormond is in negotiations to play Superman's biological mother Lara Lor-Van in Zack Snyder's MAN OF STEEL, reports Deadline.com. She would joins Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Michael Shannon.

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are the studios. David Goyer wrote the screenplay, which was developed by him and producer Christopher Nolan. The producers also include Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, and Deborah Snyder. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are the exec producers.
