Matt Damon told EMPIRE MAGAZINE that the next Bourne film will probably be a prequel under a different team.

Since director Paul Greengrass dropped out of plans to shoot another film for summer 2011, Universal appears to be looking into the possibility of keeping the franchise going by getting another director and actor to make a prequel.

Following that, the hope would be that Greengrass and Damon could reteam for another film in the succesful franchise. Damon also said it could be another five years before a script materializes and that happens though.
