Viggo Mortensen is the top choice of director Zack Snyder and producer Christopher Nolan for General Zod in SUPERMAN, reports HEAT VISION. He would face off against Henry Cavill as the Clark Kent/Superman. Warner Bros. has not begun talks with the actor, much like Kevin Costner in the role of Jonathan Kent.
