Matthew Modine and two other actors have joined the cast of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, reports Variety. The FULL METAL JACKET star will play a character only known as Nixon. Moreover, Oscar-nominee Tom Conti (REUBEN, REUBEN) and Joey King (RAMONA AND BEEZUS) have taken unknown roles as well.

Christopher Nolan's third Batman film has already started production. Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have set July 20, 2012 for the film's release.
