Columbia Pictures has announced that Will Smith will return for a third MEN IN BLACK, which will be in 3-D, reports HEAT VISION. Also retuning will be director Barry Sonnenfeld and producers Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald. Tommy Lee Jones is in talks to return as well. Additionally, Josh Brolin is in negotiations to play a younger version of Jones' Agent Kay.

Etan Cohen (TROPIC THUNDER) penned the screenplay with David Koepp doing a second draft. Cohen is polishing a final draft now.

The studio has set May 25, 2012 as the release date.
