Lively, Johansson Vie for Gravity Lead
HEAT VISION reports that Blake Lively and Scarlett Johansson are the top contenders for the female lead in Alfonso Cuaron's GRAVITY. Robert Downey Jr. is already attached to the sci-fi flick. Cuaron wrote the film with his brother Jonas.
The story follows a group of astronauts that venture into space to fix the Hubble telescope where they are hit with satellite debris. The only surviving astronaut must fight to return home to her daughter.
The project was originally moving forward at Universal then skipped over to Warner Bros. Angelina Jolie was set to star, but her pricetag was too steep so she jetted from the project. Later Marion Cotillard tested for the part.
