Lionsgate Announces Hunger Games' District 1 Actors
In what is now becoming a daily tradition, Lionsgate has revealed two new cast members of THE HUNGER GAMES via the film's Facebook page. Newcomer Jack Quaid and Leven Rambin (TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES) have been picked as District 1 death match tributes Marvel and Glimmer, respectively. The cast already includes Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg. Elizabeth Banks is in talks to join the cast as well.
Based on Suzanne Collins' novel, the story is set in a future where each district of a divided U.S. sends two young competitors into a death match, which is televised.
Gary Ross will direct from a script by Billy Ray. Color Force's Nina Jacobson is producing.
THE HUNGER GAMES is set for release on March 23, 2012.
