LaBeouf Becomes A Giant for Gil Kenan
Gil Kenan's A GIANT has been set up at the new company Lava Bear Films with Shia LaBeouf set to star, reports Variety. The MONSTER HOUSE director penned the quirky romance that follows a young woman who moves back home and falls for a 20-foot-man who lives next door.
David Linde, Tory Metzger and Adam Rymer formed Lava Bear, which will produce with the Jim Henson Co. and French vfx house BUF. Lisa Henson, Jason Lust and India Osbourne are the producers alongside exec producer Pierre Buffin. Lava Bear president Metzger will shepherd the foreign production.
Linde is the former chairman of Universal and there is word that the film will land there for distribution.
