Kosinski's Tom Cruise Sci-Fier Narrows Female Lead to Three
For the top female lead in TRON LEGACY director Joseph Kosinski's next film the list has come down to three actresses, reports Deadline.com. Hayley Atwell (CAPTAIN AMERICA), Diane Kruger (INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS) and Kate Beckinsale (UNDERWORLD) will be reading for the role this weekend.
Tom Cruise plays a soldier sent from the cloud cities over Earth to the surface where he encounters a strange woman who challenges his perspective of the world. Breakout star of the year Jessica Chastain signed on to play Cruise's wife in the cloud city.
Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark and Barry Levine are the producers alongside exec producers Jesse Berger and Dave Morrison. Peter Cramer and Sara Scott are shepherding for Universal.
The sci-fi has gone by the titles OBLIVION and HORIZONS.
