Keanu Reeves Headed to Akira

Keanu Reeves is circling the live-action remake of AKIRA, reports The Hollywood Reporter. He would play Kaneda, the biker gang leader who tries to save his best friend, Tetsuo, from government experiments that are trying to unleash psychic abilities.

Albert Hughes is directing the Warner Bros. production. Andrew Lazar and Appian Way's Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran are producing.
