Walton Goggins (TV's JUSTIFIED) has boarded Steven Spielberg's LINCOLN, reports Deadline.com. He takes the role of anti-slavery Democrat Congressman Wells A. Hutchins. Cast includes Daniel Day-Lewis (Abraham Lincoln), Sally Field (Mary Todd Lincoln) and David Strathairn (Secretary of State William Seward).

Tony Kushner adapted the script from Doris Kerns Goodwin's book TEAM OF RIVALS.

Filming will take place in Virginia this fall. DreamWorks and Disney's Touchstone plan to release the film in late 2012.
