Josh Brolin has been cast in the lead of Spike Lee's remake of OLD BOY, reports Deadline.com. Mark Protosevich penned the script.

The original Korean cult hit followed a man, who for reasons unknown is held captive in a room for 15 years. One day he is simply released and he sets out to find out why.

Filming is set to start in March.

Protosevich, Mandate Pictures, Vertigo Ent.'s Roy Lee and Doug Davison, Lee’s 40 Acres & A Mule are producing. Mandate prez Nathan Kahane is the exec producer.
