Illumination Ent. is teaming with Johnny Depp and his Infinitum Nihil to produce the story of Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel for the big screen, reports Risky Business. Depp is eying the project as a starring vehicle as well. Keith Bunin (IN TREATMENT) will pen the script, which will incorporate animated sequences to bring Seuss' creations to life.

Infinitum Nihil partner Christi Dembrowski and Illumination's Christopher Meledandri and David Kennedy are also producing.

Illumination is already fond of Seuss's work with its animated version of THE LORAX hitting theaters in March. Universal Pictures will release that film as well as the Seuss biopic as part of its deal with Illumination.
