Walden Media is developing a live-action version of WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO? for Jennifer Lopez to star in, reports Deadline.com. She is only officially signed on as a producer at this point.

The story follows top detective Carmen Sandiego who appears to have become a master thief and his sought by her former partner in order to catch her or clear her name.

Lopez's Nuyorican Productions’ partners Benny Medina and Simon Fields will also produce alongside Underground Films’ Nick Osbourne, Trevor Engelson and Devin Andre. Walden Media CEO Michael Bostick and SVP Evan Turner are shepherding.

Previously, the educational videogame was turned into a gameshow and animated TV series. A feature version was once in development at Disney with Sandra Bullock attached.
