Universal is in talks with Jeff Bridges to join the cast of supernatural laugher R.I.P.D., reports Deadline.com. Ryan Reynolds plays a newly dead cop assigned to investigate undead crimes with a detective who has been dead for over 100 years. Zach Galifianakis was originally cast as the vet undead dick, but dropped out over scheduling concerns.

Robert Schwentke (RED) is set to direct. Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi (CLASH OF THE TITANS) penned the adaptation of Peter M. Lenkov's graphic novel.
