Jackie Earle Haley appears to have a lock on the villain roles these days. The actor who played Rorschach Watchmen and stars as Freddy Krueger in the upcoming A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, is the frontrunner to play GREEN LANTER villain Sinestro, Ain't It Cool News reports.

The site also reports that Superman may make a cameo appearance in the film as well. The film, which is being directed by Martin Campbell and starring Ryan Reynolds, is aiming for a June 17, 2011 release.
