HEAT VISION reports that Max Irons, son of Jeremy Irons, has joined the cast of THE GIRL WITH THE RED RIDING HOOD. Additionally, Julie Christie and Gary Oldman are in negotiations to join the horror film as well.

Amanda Seyfried stars a woman tormented by a werewolf, while Shiloh Fernandez will play her love interest, a young woodcutter. Catherine Hardwicke is directing.

Irons will play the son of a blacksmith who has been arranged to marry Seyfried’s character. Christie would take the role of Seyfried’s grandmother who always knits with silver needles. Oldman would play witchfinder general Father Soloman whose task is to kill the werewolf.
