Natalie Mendoza, who was suffered a concussion during a preview performance of SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK, has dropped out of the epic Broadway musical, reports Variety. She decided to officially leave the show in order to recover from her injuries.

Julie Taymor is directing the most expensive production in Broadway history. She co-wrote the book with Glen Berger and U2's Bono and The Edge's provided the songs.

The musical plans to officially open on Feb. 7th, despite many financial and technical setbacks, as well as several other injuries. Mendozza's last performance took place on the same night that Christopher Tierney fell 30 feet into the orchestra pit.
