Teresa Palmer (BEDTIMES STORIES) has joined the cast of I AM NUMBER FOUR, reports HEAT VISION. DreamWorks is producing the adaptation of James Frey and Jobie Hughes' forthcoming YA sci-fi tome with D.J. Caruso in the director's chair.

Palmer takes the role of Number Six, an alien who with her eight comrades hides out on Earth as high schoolers to avoid assassins that destroyed her home planet.

BEASTLY hunk Alex Pettyfer is playing the title role, while DISTRICT 9 star Sharlto Copley plays Number Four's teacher and protector.

Michael Bay is on as producer. Steven Spielberg, Chris Bender, J.C. Spink and David Valdes are the exec producers. Al Gough and Miles Millar penned the script.
