Anthony Hopkins is in talks to join Chuck Russell's ARABIAN NIGHTS, reports HEAT VISION.

The period epic follows a young commander (Liam Hemsworth) who teams with Sinbad, Ali Baba and the Genie after his king is assassinated and the queen is kidnapped. The Oscar winner Hopkins would play the evil sorcerer who murdered Sinbad's mermaid love. Russell and Barry P. Ambrose wrote the script.

Inferno’s Bill Johnson, Mark Ciardi and Mayhem Pictures' Gordon Gray are producing with ROAR. The producers hope to go into production by the end of the summer.
