Hinds, Placido Ride on Ghost Rider 2
Ciaran Hinds and Violante Placido are in negotiations to join the cast of Columbia’s GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE, reports Heat Vision. CRANK helmers Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are directing the sequel to the 2007 Nicolas Cage feature.
Hinds (MUNICH) would play the Devil who plans to possess his mortal son's body. Placido (THE AMERICAN) will take the role of the boy's mother.
Neveldine and Taylor penned the script based on an idea from David Goyer. Avi Arad, Ari Arad, Michael De Luca, Ashok Amritraj and Steven Paul are the producers. Columbia's Matt Tolmach and Rachel O’Connor are shepherding.
Columbia holds North American right with Hyde Park Entertainment repping it internationally.
Production will take place in Romania and Turkey at the end of November.
