Milo Ventimiglia (TV's HEROES) has been hired for the 3-D thriller STATIC, reports The Wrap. He joins Sarah Shahi (TV's THE L WORD) and Sara Paxton (THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT).

Ventimiglia and Shahi play a couple that, after losing their child, are on the brink of divorce. But when a young visitor comes, supernatural events turn their lives upside-down.

Music video director Todd Levin is making his feature film debut on the film. New Artists Alliance's Gabriel Cowan and John Suits and Andrew Orci and Kerry Johnson co-wrote the screenplay and will produce. Caliber Media Co.'s Dallas Sonnier, Jack Heller and Jared Schwartz and DiVide Pictures' Ventimiglia and Russ Cundiff are the exec producers.

The under $1 million production had special rigs made so that two Sony PMW-F3 cameras could be used simultaneously for the 3-D.
