Saoirse Ronan has landed the lead role in the adaptation of TWILIGHT author Stephenie Meyer's THE HOST, reports Variety. The story follows the alien race called Souls who try to take over the bodies of human. One Soul has a problem taking over a human whose mind resists. Andrew Niccol adapted the script.

Nick Wechsler and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz are the producers alongside exec producers Inferno's Marc Butan, Jim Seibel and Bill Johnson.
