Kevin Durand (TV's LOST) has joined the cast of I AM NUMBER FOUR and is in talks to play a role in REAL STEEL, reports VARIETY.

In D.J. Caruso's NUMBER FOUR, he would play the leader of the alien assassins sent to Earth to kill nine teen aliens of a race that his kind nearly wiped out. The nine are now hiding out in high school. Cast includes Sharlto Copley (DISTRICT 9) and Alex Pettyfer (BEASTLY). Alfred Gough and Miles Millar wrote the screenplay.

In Shawn Levy's STEEL, Durand would play a Texan robot boxing promoter. Hugh Jackman stars as a boxer who reunites with his son when they train boxing robots together.

Both films are from DreamWorks and will be released by Disney.
