Neal McDonough (TV's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES) is in negotiations to join the cast of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, reports Deadline.com. He would play Dum Dum Dugan, a marksman officer from Nick Fury's S.H.I.E.L.D. McDonough would join Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan and Hayley Atwell.

Filming is set to begin in July in the U.K. Paramount Pictures is set to release the film on July 22, 2011.
