Bokeem Woodbine, who played in the elevator thriller DEVIL, has boarded the TOTAL RECALL remake, reports Variety. He will play the best friend of lead Douglas Quaid, played by Colin Farrell. Bryan Cranston will play Euromerica leader Vilos Cohaagen. Kate Beckinsale is circling the role of Quaid's wife Lori.

In the new version, Quaid (Farrell) is a factory worker who begins to believe he might be a spy for either Euromerica or New Shanghai after he visits a company that implants false memories in a person's mind. Bryan Cranston will play Euromerica leader Vilos Cohaagen who is planning a secret invasion of New Shanghai. The story is based on Philip K. Dick's WE CAN REMEMBER IT FOR YOU WHOLESALE.

Len Wiseman is the director. Mark Bomback and James Vanderbilt penned the script. Original Film's Neal Moritz and Toby Jaffe are producing.
