HEAT VISION reports that Jeremy Renner is in closing talks to play Hawkeye in Joss Whedon's THE AVENGERS for Marvel Studios. He would join Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Don Cheadle (War Machine). While no deal has been struck with Ed Norton, rumors have the Hulk in the epic film as well.
