According to VARIETY, Tom Cavanagh has inked a deal to play Ranger Smith in YOGI BEAR. The live-action/CG animated film from Warner Bros. has already begun shooting in New Zealand.

Eric Brevig is directing the film, which was written by Brad Copeland. Cavanagh will play the male lead.
