Caine To Journey to Mysterious Island
Michael Caine is in talks to join the cast of JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, reports Heat Vision. The sequel to JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH 3D also stars Dwayne Johnson and Josh Hutcherson.
Loosely based on Jules Verne's THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, Hutcherson takes his mother's boyfriend (Johnson) to a mystical island in an effort to rescue his grandfather (Caine).
Brad Peyton will direct with Beau Flynn, Tripp Vinson and Charlotte Huggins producing. Walden Media's Michael Bostick and Evan Turner are the exec producers.
Production will start in October in Hawai'i and North Carolina.
