The Hollywood Reporter writes that Sony has found its villain and release date for Neill Blomkamp’s highly anticipated ELYSIUM. Brazilian actor Wagner Moura, who starred the popular ELITE SQUAD series, ha been cast as the villain. He joins Matt Damon, Sharlto Copley and Jodie Foster. As for the film's release, Columbia will put it before movie-goers on March 8, 2013.

Damon will play an ex-con on a distant planet where a rigid class structure is creating tension.

Media Rights Capital is producing and funding the film.
