Blake Lively has been tapped to play the female lead Carol Ferris in GREEN LANTERN, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.

In the film, the character hires test pilot Hal Jordon, played by Ryan Reynolds, and ultimately becomes the villain Star Sapphire, but no word if that will all take place in the first film.

The film is scheduled to begin shooting in March.
