Bard and Smaug Roles Cast in The Hobbit

Deadline.com reports that Peter Jackson has cast the roles of Bard and Smaug in THE HOBBIT. Luke Evans (CLASH OF THE TITANS) will play Bard the Grim, heir of King Girion of Dale. His father is killed by the talking dragon Smaug, which will be voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch (TV's SHERLOCK HOLMES). Cumberbatch will also provide performance capture for the CG character.
