Anthony Hopkins has signed on to play the lead in New Line's SOLACE, reports Variety. The SILENCE OF THE LAMBS Oscar winner will be on the other side of a serial killer hunt as a clairvoyant former doctor who works with the FBI.

Sean Bailey and Ted Griffin penned the original draft with rewrites coming from James Vanderbilt and Peter Morgan. Contrafilm heads Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are producing alongside exec producers Matthias Emcke and Thomas Augsberger.
