Two weeks after SAG rejected a similar offer, AFTRA members have ratified a new deal with video game producers, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. The new deal will go into effect Jan. 1, 2010. Actors will see a 2.5% up tick in session fees starting April 1. They will now be paid $802 for a four-hour session. Moreover, the H&R contribution rate has been increased 0.2% and a cap of $125,000 has been added. The new deal also creates "atmospheric voices" as a new category of performance covered under the union agreement. This deal runs until March 31, 2011.

The agreement was sent to more than 2,200 actors and actresses who worked in games in the last three years. 66% of those performers voted yes on the contract. Previously, members had been working under an extension of the 2005-08 contract.
