Adventure Time, Game of Thrones Earn Emmy Nods

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominations for the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards this morning. Animated favorites like ADVENTURE TIME, THE SIMPSONS and ROBOT CHICKEN all received nods. VFX-filled drama such as BOARDWALK EMPIRE and GAME OF THRONES lands nods in the top categories.

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards will air live on Sunday, September 18 (8pm ET / 5pm PT) on Fox from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
