Abundant Animates Paramount Picture Show

This month Paramount in the U.K. launches a brand-new film promotion vehicle called the "Paramount Picture Show." Conceived and produced by independent production company Abundant, this five-minute animated film will feature sneak previews of new theatrical releases, clips from new home releases, exclusive interviews, competitions and more. The short film will be available online and on mobile phones and will distributed widely throughout social media.

Abundant were charged with devising a unique and engaging mechanism and developed Alan the cartoon-character presenter with attitude and one-liners. The "Paramount Picture Show" informs and entertains and is watchable more than once thanks to Alan's antics -- driving stickiness to this new vehicle and retention for Paramount titles. The animation-based production also means there is plenty of flexibility to insert additional contextual animated content to further entertain and support the releases being promoted.

Shane Wall, Abundant chief added, "I love this project. By animating the presenter, we can blow him up, throw things at him, and generally do all sorts of things that we otherwise couldn't do -- and we don't have to pay him!"

The Paramount Picture Show will be available starting March 6 at www.paramountpictureshow.com, as well as on iTunes and YouTube. It will be refreshed approximately once a month.
